How do I determine my project’s risk rating and minimum standards?

Firstly, we recommend that you read the Guidance on Assessing the Risk of SEAH Note to see examples of risk ratings and Minimum Standards to apply. You are then able to complete a risk profile template to give yourself a greater understanding of your project’s risk level.

Secondly, review Monash’s Framework for the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment in DFAT-Related Work (pdf, 0.57 mb), which details the organisation-wide Mitigation Actions in place to meet Minimum Standards 1 to 5.

We expect that few activities will be rated very high. If you find that your project has a very high risk rating, get in touch with Risk and Compliance and Monash HR about applying standards 6 and 7.
