What are my obligations as a student?

As a student or participant on a DFAT-supported project, you're also expected to comply with the DFAT PSEAH Policy. We recommend that you complete one of the risk assessment tools to assess the risk of SEAH for the activity you will be doing. This will help you understand the context you will be studying in and how you will interact with locals.

Monash will ensure you've completed the necessary training, whether this is through the Respect at Monash module or in your Monash Abroad and DFAT pre-departure orientations. If you fail to complete these training sessions, you may be removed from the program or your scholarship could be rescinded.

If you're involved in an incident of SEAH, you're required to report the incident either directly to DFAT (seah.reports@dfat.gov.au) or to the Safer Community Unit who will report to DFAT on behalf of the individual/s.
