Monash Trans and Gender Diverse Staff Network

The Monash Trans and Gender Diverse Staff Network (TGDSN) is a staff-led initiative and space intended to foster connection and build community for staff members at Monash who identify as trans and/or gender diverse (or who are questioning their gender identity).

The TGDSN is also intended to be a space of advocacy for and by the Monash trans and gender diverse community. In a space and time where trans lives, bodies, and identities are co-opted, used, misrepresented and erased for political aims counter to a healthy, just and inclusive society, self and group advocacy is one way our community educates and resists those who harm us through misunderstanding and malice.

The Network will also be a forum for trans and gender diverse staff to provide feedback to the university on changes to procedures or policies that affect them.

Staff who wish to join the network can email TGD-network@monash.edu or fill in this google form and a member of the network will be in contact with the next steps.

The TGDSN is still in its infancy and we welcome the insights of new members in shaping the network's future and its aims, and assisting with selection and organisation of activities into the next year.
