Through Monash University’s longstanding engagement with higher education institutions in China, we have established a range of collaborative education arrangements. These arrangements provide students with the opportunity to complete their course from two institutions.
Students from our partner institutions in China have the opportunity to complete part of their course at their home institution and then transfer to one of Monash University’s Melbourne campuses with credit exemptions. On completion, students will graduate with a Monash degree.

Henan University is one of the oldest public universities in China. In 2016 the university was selected in Plan 111, a key project initiated by the Ministry of Education of China. Henan University has three campuses, the Minglun campus and JinMing campus are located in Kaifeng, the Longzi Lake campus is located in Zhengzhou, Henan Province of China.

Hunan University is situated in Changsha, Hunan Province of China. Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) is located in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province of China, it is the only multidisciplinary and research-oriented university in China that is simultaneously developing education and research programs in the fields of aeronautics, astronautics, and marine technology engineering. NPU is affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. NPU has always been one of the nation’s key universities. It was one of the first universities to enter into the 211 Project in 1995 and the 985 Project in 2001.

Shandong University
Shandong University (SDU) is a public research comprehensive university under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education of China. In 2017, SDU was chosen as one of the first group of China's high-level universities to be listed in the Double First-Class university program released by the central government of China. SDU has a campus in Weihai and a campus in Qingdao, Shandong Province of China. It is one of the largest universities in China by student population.
Monash has 3+1+1 and 4+1 programs with the School of Civil Engineering at SDU. Program students who successfully complete one year of study at Monash will be awarded a Master of Engineering by Monash.
Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is one of the famous institutions of higher learning with the longest history and reputation in China and abroad. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China and jointly built with Shanghai Municipality. After 125 years of unremitting efforts, SJTU has become a domestic first-class and internationally renowned university, and further defined the vision on constructing a “comprehensive, innovative and international” world-class university.

The Faculty of Science has established Double Masters programs with the China-UK Low Carbon College at SJTU, Double Master program in Environment and Sustainability, and Green and Sustainable Technologies.
Students participating in the programs will study at both Monash and SJTU for one year, and be granted a Master’s degree from each university.
Shanghai International Studies University
Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) is China's leading university in linguistics, cultural studies, and global and area studies. SISU is a member of the United Nations MoU network, and a Double First Class and Project 211 universities identified by the Ministry of Education of China.

University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), formerly known as Beijing Steel and Iron Institute before 1988, is a national key university in Haidian District, Beijing, China. USTB has been chosen as one of the first universities to participate in several national high-level initiatives, including the Project 211 and 985 platform for national advanced disciplines innovation. In 2017 USTB was chosen to be part of the national Double First-Class initiative to build four first-class disciplines.

Wuhan University
Wuhan University (WHU) is a key national university, located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education of China. 2+2 program with the Faculty of Engineering at WHU. Program students who successfully complete two years of study at Monash will be awarded a Bachelor of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering by Monash.
4+1.5 program with the School of Foreign Languages and Literature at WHU. Program students who successfully complete 1.5 years of study at Monash will be awarded one of the following degrees by Monash:

3+2 program with the School of Physics and Technology at WHU. Program students who successfully complete 2 years of study at Monash will be awarded a Master of Professional Engineering (Materials Engineering) by Monash.
Wenzhou Medical University
Monash has a 5+1 program with WMU. Program students who successfully complete 1 years of study at Monash will be awarded a Master of Biomedical and Health Sciences by Monash.
Zhengzhou University
Zhengzhou University (ZZU) is a public university located in Zhengzhou, Henan Province of China. ZZU is the largest university in China in terms of student population. ZZU was co-constructed by the Ministry of Education of China and the Government of Henan Province under the initiative of “One Province, One University". ZZU is a Project 211 and Double First-Class university.

2+2 program with the International College at ZZU. Program students who successfully complete two years of study at Monash will be awarded one of the following degrees by Monash:
