Employers rank Monash as a top provider of job ready graduates
Monash University has maintained its ranking as one of the world’s top 100 universities for graduate employment according to a major annual survey published by Times Higher Education.
The survey placed Monash 57 in the top 100 list for graduate employability as judged by global recruiters and business leaders.
In Australia, the results placed Monash University fourth, with recruiters at top companies ranking Monash highly in preparing students for the workplace.
More than 2,500 recruiters and over 3,500 senior business people employed with international companies participated in the 2017 Global Employability University Ranking survey. Companies involved in the survey covered all major business sectors, had more than 5,000 employees and recruited over 50 graduates per year. Survey participants were selected across more than 20 countries.
The survey ranked 150 universities across 33 different countries, from the US to Japan. Employers voted both for institutions in their own country and universities around the world if they recruit internationally.
Rankings were based on a variety of factors including past experience with graduates, expertise in one field of competence, production of ready-to-work graduates, quality of research facilities and teaching staff, and links with companies.
