Monash ranks among the top 100 universities in the world, rising 17 places to rank in the 91-100 band in the Times Higher Education (THE) World Reputation Rankings 2019, released this week.
The University also improved its Research Reputations rank by 16 places to 91st and its Teaching Reputation by 21 places to 96th.
The Times Higher Education (THE) World Reputations Rankings represent the collated results of an invitation-only survey of experienced, published scholars who offer their views on excellence in research and teaching within their disciplines, and at institutions with which they are familiar.
Provost and Senior Vice-President Marc Parlange said the latest results reflect Monash’s reputation in research and teaching excellence amongst the global academic community.
“The results are testament to the University’s high calibre research and educational leadership, reinforcing our reputation on an international scale,” he said.
“It’s wonderful to see senior academics from around the world recognise Monash’s excellence and hold us in such high esteem. We’re extremely proud of how we’ve performed, and are looking forward to achieving even greater success in the years to come.”
