Monash website goes mobile

Whether you visit the Monash site using a mobile, tablet or desktop computer, the new-look website launching next week will be customised for your device.
The new site will automatically detect what device you are using and will present the appropriate customised version.
Following the worldwide trend, a growing percentage of traffic to the Monash site comes from mobile and touch-screen devices, such as iPhones and iPads. As a result, it is increasingly important that we cater to the needs of these users.
It is hoped that the fresh, responsive design will improve the online experience for future students, research collaborators, industry partners, alumni, students and staff.
In addition to being mobilised, the new site will include an expanding menu bar; social media icons and share buttons; and clear promotional spaces for University news, events and campaigns.
At the moment, this design will only be used for the top levels of the main Monash site.
The project is an initiative of the Office of Marketing and Communications and eSolutions. For more information, please contact Derek Brown on derek.brown@monash.edu.
