New dental service at Clayton

New dental service

It'll be easier to keep your pearly whites in good shape with the University's first on-campus dental health service starting up on 24 February.

After years of planning and discussion, the University Health Services is proud to finally add a new dental clinic to their suite of health services.

The clinic is located in the University Health Services on Clayton campus in Building 10.

Four dentists will be available to staff and students at the new dental clinic, providing full general dentistry services, including cleaning, extractions, x-rays, orthopantomograms and more.

Belinda Campain, Director of University Health Services, says the dental clinic will make a huge difference to the health and wellbeing of the Monash community.

"This development has been a long time coming," Ms Campain said.

"The University already offers comprehensive medical and mental health services, and having these dental health facilities, run by a new team of highly qualified staff, will boost the level of care we can provide for the community."

Vladimir Prpich, Executive Director Campus Community Division, says staff and students may find the services more affordable than they expect.

"It is important that these new dental health services are as accessible to as many as possible," Mr Prpich said.

"Both staff and students can expect discounted rates if they attend the clinic."
