New software helps staff and students fall ‘InPlace’ during professional placements

A new piece of software successfully deployed by eSolutions will enable a standardised approach to managing student professional placements.
‘InPlace’ supports all parties to a work placement – university, employers and students – with a single, fully integrated system that displays a consistent and current view of all placement related activity.
The multi-phased project has seen the software rolled out to students studying both Secondary Education and Nursing and Midwifery who are required to undertake professional placements as part of their course curriculums.
The completion of this phase is a great achievement for the project team who have managed business requirements, testing and training in preparation for deployment.
Wilna Joubert from Education Business Services, who participated in the delivery of the project, said the software will offer substantial benefits to Monash.
“This program will allow us to increase efficiency across every aspect of a work placement through consistent practices, effective communication and improved access to information. It will also help to improve stakeholder satisfaction through increased confidence in our timeliness and accuracy,” Ms Joubert said.
‘InPlace’ will be progressively implemented across the University over the coming years.
