New zing for Clayton Campus Market

Clayton Campus Markets

The new Clayton Campus Market can be found every Thursday on the Northern Plaza, near the Lemon Scented Lawns.

Clayton’s Campus Market has been given an invigorating makeover with a fresh and daring goal in mind.

Now in its ninth week, the new Thursday market has increased the variety of retail options on campus to cater to the diverse needs of students and staff, introducing a world of fresh food, clothing, homemade culinary delights, inspiring hand-crafted pieces, pre-loved surprises, and everything in-between.

One of the new market’s biggest highlights is the introduction of food stalls, inspired by the success of the stalls and food trucks at the recent One World Festival. With the likes of Pop-Up Crêpes, Twistos, Tasty Gozlemes and St Gerry’s in the line-up, the stalls bring world flavours to the doorstep of the Monash community to challenge taste-buds and celebrate diversity and multiculturalism.

Music is another vital part in the market’s rebranding. Musicians such as Megan O’Brien, Ella Motteram, Seb Szabo and Christina Gangemi have allowed the market to explore different genres of music and add to the festival atmosphere.

In time, special feature stalls and workshops will also become a distinctive aspect of the market. The following weeks will see Birney & Co., Australia’s first mobile fashion tram, on site with a wide range of vintage and hand-selected apparel, shoes and accessories, at affordable prices.

The Campus Market strives to thrive as a mid-week market destination where people can come to shop, connect and celebrate.

The Clayton Campus Market operates every Thursday, 9am to 2.30pm on the Northern Plaza, near the Lemon Scented Lawns on Clayton campus.
