Need to travel for a Monash activity? Why not hire a Monash University pool vehicle? The Pool Vehicle Hire Service (PVHS) is a convenient, safe and simple transport option for Monash staff.
The management of pool vehicle hire service is now provided by Procure to Payment Services, and a new fully automated booking tool is being launched on 12 January 2015. This will allow staff to book a vehicle online, collect the key from a secure key locker, then access the vehicle. When your booking has finished, simply leave the vehicle in the designated area and return the key to the secure locker ready for the next booking.
Booking a vehicle is easy - all you need is a valid driver's licence, and your cost centre and fund. There are pool vehicles available at Clayton, Caulfield, Berwick and Peninsula campuses and they can be hired for a few hours or a few days.
When using a Monash pool vehicle, you can park in any blue or yellow permit designated area on any campus, and you are covered by 24-hour roadside assist for accident or breakdown.
Using a Monash vehicle means you are fully insured in the case of an accident. Unless you have specified you use your personal vehicle for business purposes, most personal vehicle insurance policies do not cover accidents that occur if using your vehicle for business purposes.
