Registrations are now open for the 3rd Australasian Compensation Health Research Forum (ACHRF) to be held on 10 – 11 October 2013 in Sydney, Australia.

The 2013 forum is the only forum of its type in the southern hemisphere and provides an exciting opportunity for policy makers, researchers and other interested parties to share ideas and perspectives.

The focus of the 2013 forum is ‘New Directions: Health, Work and Disability’. Confirmed keynote speakers include:

  • Terry Bogyo, former Director of Corporate Strategy, WorkSafe, British Columbia, Canada
  • Professor Nortin Hadler, Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina, USA
  • Professor Kathryn McPherson, Professor of Rehabilitation and Director of the Person-Centred Rehabilitation Centre at the Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand
  • John Walsh, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers

The forum will close with a thought-provoking session entitled ‘Principles and Pragmatism: approaches to policy development' with Graeme Innes, Australia’s Disability Discrimination Commissioner and John Della Bosca, the national campaign director for the National Disability and Carers Alliance.
