Shape the future of the Berwick and Peninsula campuses

Berwick

A challenging yet exciting opportunity exists for someone to make a real difference in the Monash community by contributing in the role as Campus Manager, Berwick and Peninsula.

Playing a pivotal role on both campuses, the dynamic position involves the coordination and management of operational functions as well as the planning and development of the campuses.

The Berwick campus is Monash’s youngest Australian campus with future growth and development on the horizon. Berwick campus enrolments will increase significantly over the next few years with the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and Faculty of Education commencing teaching at the campus in 2012.

Berwick Healthcare, located on campus, provides the local community with access to general practice, nursing, specialist clinics and allied health services such as psychology and physiotherapy, pathology and community education. The centre is a collaboration between the Berwick campus and the Dandenong Casey General Practice Association, providing an avenue for student placements and research initiatives.

The University is in the process of negotiating new developments on the Berwick campus with the City of Casey and the Campus Manager will play a key role in these negotiations.

The Peninsula campus is Monash’s third largest campus and the home of a new $12.8 million activity and recreation centre opening in 2012. The centre will not only further enhance the campus’s ‘Healthy Active Community’ theme, but will also provide specialised teaching and learning spaces and facilities for public use.

A number of new courses are planned at Peninsula and growth in student numbers is expected.

Both campuses have a strong community engagement with schools, industry and local and state government.  There are plenty of exciting and new initiatives happening which will drive the evolution of these campuses.
