This VCE History revision session is divided into two sessions.

Morning Session: Historical Thinking Skills and Writing

  • Develop key historical thinking skills, including cause and consequence, continuity and change, and significance.
  • Learn how to apply knowledge in written responses.
  • Review source analysis and essay structures.
  • Enhance historical vocabulary and writing sophistication.
  • Gain practical strategies for approaching and succeeding in the VCE History exam.

Afternoon: Content Revision

  • Summaries of the historical narrative of each revolution.
  • Revising and using specific historical evidence.
  • Revising and using historical perspectives and interpretations effectively.
  • Advice on general revision techniques for exam preparation.

All sessions will be interactive lectures with activities, plus printed resources will be available.

This session is presented by Emily, a history teacher and Head of Junior School at Box Hill High School.
