What would you do for income if illness or injury meant you could no longer work?
In this ISCRR Learning Series Webinar, Associate Professor Ross Iles will explore the complex systems Australians must navigate when they are unable to work due to illness or injury.
Drawing on research commissioned by the Council of Australian Life Insurers (CALI), Ross will examine how workers’ compensation, insurance, sick leave and social security systems intersect, and how fragmentation across these systems can create additional stress, delays and barriers to recovery.
The webinar will highlight the growing impact of mental health on workforce participation and consider what a more coordinated and person-centred approach to income support could look like.
