Getting to know......

1. What is your favourite thing about your career?
WOW so much, I don't even know where to begin. I love being able to give the best possible care I can for children and their families; aiding them in the best possible recovery. Being able to make my patients smile, laugh and forget for a moment that they are in hospital. And of course the everyday challenges!
I would say that being vomited on and Late/Early shifts are definitely not a highlight though!
2. What did you want to be when you were little?
I wanted to be a flight attendant!! Once a flight attendant showed me how to keep my hands soft.... Using SUGAR and CHAMPAGNE! Mind you, I wouldn't know how I would have been able to do it, as I always fall asleep as soon as we take off until we land! Not forgetting bad travel sickness - I can't stand the smell of the food (unfortunately I never grew out of it, despite my efforts, believe me!)
3. If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
I would be in South America, working in programs that are against working children/slavery and providing health education and support to these children.
I hope to do this one day!
4. What two radio stations do you listen to in the car the most?
I am young but old at heart! I listen to GOLD 104 and SMOOTH FM!!! Nothing better than an old classic to commence a shift, especially Night Shift!
5. Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?
Oh too many...
My best friend calls me - Carluche
Her dad calls me - Carlitta.
And the kids I babysit call me - Carlalalalalalalala (in their singing voices!!)
