You can only park for the time limit shown on the sign in timed parking areas. The time starts as soon as you stop in the bay.
For example, in an area signed ‘1/2P’, you can park for half an hour only.
If you need to stay longer, you must move your vehicle to another area. Failure to do so may result in an infringement notice.
In areas that are signed and allocated as metered parking, you are required to pay the correct fee to park in these areas. You can do this by using the meters located in the car park where available, or by using the OPark app to pay for your parking.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have enough money to cover the cost of parking and that you have paid for enough time, or that you have started a parking session in the OPark app. You must pay for your parking or start your parking session immediately after parking your vehicle.
If a parking meter is not working, you must either find another meter that is working, or start a parking session using OPark (you can download the OPark app and pay for your parking through the app, visit the website, or call (03) 9111 1799).
Please contact the Buildings and Property helpdesk to advise that the meter is not working by calling +61 3 9902 0222 or send an email to buildings.property@monash.edu.
You may eligible to apply for an internal review of your infringement notice if you have a valid ground for review.
Only authorised vehicles may stop in an area signed as a loading zone, and only when delivering or picking up goods, services or people. This includes taxis, buses, trucks, vans, utes and other vehicles used for delivery that have permanent signs fixed to both sides (magnetic signs are not permitted).
We have a time limit on our loading zones of 30 minutes. This is the maximum time that an authorised vehicle may park in a loading zone (unless otherwise signed).
Personal vehicles are not able to use loading zones. For deliveries from private vehicles, please use green timed parking areas (e.g. 1/4P, 1/2P).

Parking spaces at Monash are in in high demand. To manage this demand and keep everything fair for those studying, working or visiting our campuses, we have designated permit zones.
If you park in these zones without a valid permit or active OPark session, you may be issued an infringement notice.
No Stopping areas are signed in locations around campus to keep vehicle traffic moving and protect the safety of drivers and pedestrians.
Stopping to let someone out or into a vehicle, regardless of whether you leave the engine running or stay in the vehicle, is not allowed. 'No Stopping' means no stopping at any time.
Not all parking restrictions are required to have signage displayed.
For example, a vehicle must not stop if it is:
