Experts gather to discuss vision for a prosperous and sustainable planet

MSDI Roundtable discussion

The Monash Sustainable Development Institute (MSDI), in collaboration with the Centre for Policy Development (CPD) and The Next Economy, hosted a roundtable featuring global thought leader Sandrine Dixson-Declève. The event focused on Earth4All's framework for 'five key turnarounds' necessary for sustainable prosperity, emphasising systemic change to reduce inequality and foster sustainability. Discussions highlighted the need for economic overhaul, policy shifts, fiscal reforms, and new metrics to guide policy.

Dr Cameron Allen and Professor Rod Glover contributed insights on Australia's pathways to sustainable transformation, stressing the importance of integrated approaches and political pathways. The roundtable emphasised actionable proposals, grassroots mobilisation, and effective communication to drive transformative change.
