The importance of ESG implementation in state-owned enterprises (SOES)

Dr John Vong, an Adjunct Fellow at the Master of Public Policy and Management program, participated in a sharing session organised by PLN Group and Monash University, Indonesia, under the PLN Muda program. The event focused on the importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation in state-owned enterprises, using PT PLN as a case study.

The session highlighted how ESG practices can enhance corporate value, financial performance, and sustainability. PT PLN's commitment to achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2060 and integrating ESG principles into its operations was emphasised, aligning with Monash University's dedication to supporting sustainable development goals.
