Exploring simulations and virtual learning spaces at Monash University

The Hub for Educational Design and Innovation (HEDI), led by Professor Michael Henderson and Dr Jo Blannin, facilitated a workshop at Monash University to explore the use of Virtual Reality (VR) and immersive technologies in education. The session involved 22 senior representatives from various university faculties and focused on the transformative potential of simulations and virtual spaces in learning.

Key outcomes included the identification of benefits such as real-time coaching, scenario-based learning, skill acquisition, and exploration of diversity and inclusion through VR. These discussions highlighted the importance of virtual learning environments in enhancing educational and research activities at Monash.
