Gender equality in health research

Promoting gender equality in health research is a significant area at Monash University:

The Monash Women’s Health Alliance, in collaboration with Gender Equity Victoria and others, organised an event to address the gender gap in health research, highlighting the historical exclusion of women and discussing strategies for improvement.

Dr Derry Wijaya and Dr Ika Idris from Monash University Indonesia received the Google Academic Research Award for their project on using AI to support women's sexual and reproductive health in Indonesia.

Professor Susan Davis leads research on menopause and testosterone therapy, aiming to improve women's health and influence policies, with the Women's Health Research Program conducting pioneering studies on menopause and testosterone therapy.
