16 Days of Activism
About the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence
The United Nations Women's 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign runs annually from 25 November - 10 December, commencing on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and finishing on Human Rights Day.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of the global crisis of gender-based violence, and calls for increased commitment and action toward eliminating violence in our communities.
As an institution committed to creating safer, more equitable environments free from gender-based violence and other forms of discrimination and harm, we acknowledge the 16 Days of Activism campaign and invite you to join us.

Highlighted opportunity - EDI Training Open House
In acknowledgement of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence campaign, the DVC(E) Equity, Diversity and Inclusion team are hosting a training 'open house' to showcase the suite of gender-based violence prevention workshops currently on offer to students at Monash University.
This initiative aims to provide staff an insight into the workshops promoted and delivered to students, whilst expanding their own knowledge and skillsets in how they can help to eliminate gender-based violence and sexual harm within their workplaces and communities.
The workshops on offer are free for staff to attend (registration required) and will be delivered across a variety of Monash's metro-Melbourne campuses, as well as online. Check out what's available below:
