What motivated you to work with the Monash Warwick Alliance?

I was very keen to get involved with Monash Warwick Alliance after meeting a visiting fellow Associate Prof Debbi Marais. After a few meetings we realised that we shared a common approach to our work and planned to work together on a number projects which we have successfully done.

What are your top three collaboration achievements so far?

Although in its infancy as it was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic The Global Classroom: learning without borders project has brought together an international team from Australia, Malysia and UK. It will develop a method of implementing case-based learning at an international level.

What do you hope to ultimately achieve through your collaboration?

Through this collaboration I’d like to achieve a means of connecting and working on international and enterprising projects.

What have you enjoyed about your work through the Alliance?

Through the Monash Warwick Alliance, I have had the opportunity to develop virtual global placements and a global classroom with a focus on case-based learning in order to provide equitable access to the skills and cultural competencies gained from international mobility experiences for students who can not travel.  I've also continued our work on developing a shared approach to authentic assessment. through masterclasses and grants that will benefit all the student cohorts we teach. I relish the opportunity to work with colleagues from Warwick. By working together, we have extended our networks and consequently the opportunities for our students to benefit from these international connections.  These innovations are due to the shared passion and commitment to teaching excellence that are mirrored by our Warwick colleagues and could not have been achieved without the support of the Monash Warwick Alliance.

Can you share one fun fact about yourself or your work?

I am a passionate epidemiologist who loves dogs and watching the Great British Bake off.
