Monash academics awarded prestigious 2020 Fulbright Scholarships

Thirteen Monash-affiliated academics, students and professionals have been awarded prestigious 2020 Fulbright Scholarships, which seek to improve the health, wellbeing and prosperity of Australians through funding innovative, impact-focused projects.

President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Margaret Gardner AO said the result recognised Monash’s remarkably talented staff and students who seek to foster strong collaborations with researchers and industry abroad, and create global, tangible outcomes for the betterment of the community.

“Collaboration is increasingly important to effectively tackle the world’s biggest challenges. Through the Fulbright Program, our scholars will work closely with peers in the US to increase cultural understanding, exchange ideas and ultimately further the development of new solutions and technologies,” Professor Gardner said.
