Strong Monash presence supports new medical academy

The newly-inducted AAHMS Fellows
A host of Monash University leaders and influential academics were inducted as new Fellows at the launch of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Science (AAHMS) last month in Canberra.
Chancellor Dr Alan Finkel AO was joined by former Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Richard Larkins AO in leading the 11-strong Monash contingent.
The AAHMS brings together respected health and medical science minds to provide independent advice to government, industry and the community on issues relating to evidence-based medical practice and medical research in Australia.
Members of diverse specialist colleges and associations join forces in the academy with researchers and medical educators whose work has a clinical and translational focus.
