All our campuses are subject to Victorian traffic laws, including the Road Safety Act and Victorian Road Rules, Infringements Act 2006 (Vic), Infringements Regulation 2016 (Vic) and the Monash University Parking Rules. A parking infringement notice may be issued to any vehicle stopped or parked contrary to the relevant laws and rules.
If you have received an infringement notice on campus, there are a number of options available to you.
Registering of unpaid infringements with Fines Victoria
When an owner or nominated driver has not paid an outstanding fine and reminder notice/agency fees and fails to respond to the penalty reminder notice, the University may register the infringement with Fines Victoria, which may accrue further costs to the original penalty.
