Ensuring your safety and wellbeing

Studying at Monash University is an exciting time in your life. While your focus is on studying and enjoying your time at Uni, there are a number of initiatives in place to ensure your safety and security, on and off campus - and so you feel connected to your campus community.

Security services

Every Monash campus has a security office that is staffed 24 hours a day. Monash Security Officers patrol our campuses 24/7 on foot, by bike and car. Members of the team are friendly and always ready to provide help and safety advice. They are also happy to escort you anywhere on campus at any time of the day or night. Safer Community Unit

Our Safer Community Unit provides students and staff specialist information, advice and support in managing problem or inappropriate behaviours on campus. The Respectful Community Initiative aims at preventing interpersonal and sexual violence. To report an incident, you can all the Safer Community Unit on +61 3 9905 1599 or submit a report online. Monash counselling services

Monash offers a very wide range of counselling and mental-health services for students. Whether you're worried about personal, study or work concerns, mental health, or need some advice on how to support someone else, our counselling services are available.

Links with Victoria Police

Monash works closely with Victoria Police to make your campus more secure.

Victoria Police members regularly visit Monash to talk with students about safety. This is an opportunity to ask questions and learn about safety on and off campus. A Victoria Police officer is also located at Monash Connect at the Clayton campus, one day per week.
