Clayton campus market
The Clayton campus market takes place every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the courtyard at the northern end of the Campus Centre (building 10) at Clayton campus.
A wide variety of stalls and products encompassing everything from clothing, fruit and vegetables, both new and good quality second-hand clothing and books, flowers, sun glasses, watches, sports equipment , jocks, socks, hats and gloves, jewellery of all descriptions and many more varied stalls are on display each week, offering University students, staff and the wider community a huge range of items to choose from.

Application form
Monash Market Regulations
- Casual stallholders may set up in any vacant space after 7.30 am
- On days deemed to be Special Event Days i.e. Graduations, Open Days etc. the stall fees will be increased.
- The stallholder agrees to comply with all directions of the Campus Market Manager.
- Any behaviour considered to be offensive or not in the best interest of the market will not be tolerated and your right to be a stallholder will be revoked.
- You will be required to pack up immediately and leave the market. You will not be permitted to return and there will be no discussion entered into. The decision of the Campus Market Manager will be final.
- Under no circumstance will a stallholder be able to come the night before to reserve an area. Any foreign material found in that area will be confiscated.
- Tables and chairs will be left outside the cellar room each market day for stallholders to use.
- Each stallholder is permitted to use only two tables. Stallholders should bring their own tables if they need more.
- Once stallholders have been allowed in the market area and have set down their goods for display and sale, they commit to pay the appropriate fee for that day, no matter how inclement the weather.
General policy
- Stallholders not permitted to advertise, offer for sale or sell goods bearing counterfeit trade marks or goods that infringe copyright. Such stallholders will have their right to conduct their stall revoked.
- The Officer of fair trading is aware of our market days and can at any time be present in the market checking on counterfeit merchandise.
- We reserve the right to restrict the number of stalls selling duplicated products, ie jewellery, sunglasses, clothing etc.
- The sale or display of any item suggesting racism, sexism or militarism is forbidden.
- It is the responsibility of the stallholder to ensure that occupational health, safety and environment issues and safe work practices are met, with particular view to customer safety.
Second-hand goods
- Second-Hand clothing must be of good quality and clean. Goods which are seconds or shop soiled and sold at reduced prices, must be clearly labelled as such.
Vehicles
- Vehicles may be brought into the market area for unloading and loading purposes only.
- All vehicles must be unloaded and out of the market area by 9 am.
- Vehicles may not come back into the area for reloading before 2.30 pm.
- No vehicles area permitted within the market area after 9 am unless specifically approved.
- Stallholders must unload and move their vehicles before they set up their stalls. Vehicles left in the non-parking areas, such as the Courtyard near short courses or permit areas will be booked.
- To avoid congestion, stalls must be dismantled before vehicles are brought back into the area for reloading.
Parking
- All parking on campus is for permit holders only. Red and Blue parking permits are for staff and students only.
- Parking regulations are enforced on Monash University campuses so please be sure to note and comply with sign posted directions in the area you intend to park in.

- Daily parking permits are available at building 61, Security and Traffic and must be obtained before entry to the market. Coin operated parking facilities are also available. The closest of these are situated on Union road opposite The University Club for 90 minutes.
