What motivated you to study with the Alliance?
My exchange to Monash was cancelled due to Covid-19 and I was really disappointed about this so when the opportunity to still study with Monash virtually through the AISP programme came about, I jumped at the chance. Also, the modules sounded really interesting to be apart of and as my degree is in global sustainable development I realised getting to work as part of a global team spanning several countries surrounding issues that speak to sustainability was a fantastic opportunity.
What would you advise others about the programme?
You need to be disciplined to participate. The workload was large but was easily manageable with effective time management and planning, it was a valuable insight into how working across several countries happens and the flexibility needed with time zones and working hours.
What are your future plans?
I am very unsure of what I want to do after I graduate, currently I’m considering taking a year or two to travel and teach English and then return to do a masters. I think the MWA has helped in this regard because it has allowed me to explore my own academic interests with others that share those interests from different backgrounds and cultures allowing me to better understand different ways of working and approaching problems.
Tell us one fun fact?
One fun fact about me is that I play clarinet, saxophone, and piano. A fun fact about my work is that I’m currently researching sustainability within the wine industry and looking at how different wines are considered sustainable and organic across the entire process.
