What is your favourite thing about the field you’re studying? (games dev)
I'd say it's being able to enter a process, in a group, of brainstorming and sharing ideas and skills to create something that will be fun and bring joy to people. I like that idea of entertaining someone by creating something you designed yourself.
Which IT facility are you most impressed with and why?
I don't know if it counts, but I truly like the sensiLab area. It's just so full of energy all the time and there's new gadgets everywhere. It can also be a very relaxing place to study, and that's just amazing for me.
What has been the highlight of your course so far?
I'm only studying here for one year, but having the opportunity to learn from the best has been amazing. So far, I learned how to 3D model (and found out that's my passion) and how to design games. Those are some skills that I'll certainly use in my career in the future.
What advice do you have for prospective students looking to study games development?
If this is truly your passion, go for it, be it the programming, art or design area. Everyday you'll learn something new from everyone around you (fellow students and teachers), and that will count a lot in your future career.
