After my placement I was offered a job and have continued to work 2 days a week whilst I complete my studies. This opportunity has completely changed my life - it opened up a career opportunity, and gave me the chance to gain experience in an area that I have a lot of interest in.”

“My IBL placement at Reecetech has been an invaluable experience. I had the opportunity to work on two different teams as a software engineer, being exposed to both frontend and backend. I got to work on real-world projects from the very beginning and got to see changes that I made get used by real customers. I was constantly challenged by the work and was encouraged to push my boundaries to see what I could achieve. I was supported by amazing people and an incredibly supportive team that helped me along my journey. I learnt so much about my particular role and the industry, and this opened my eyes up to the different opportunities available in the IT field.”

“Over the past six months at PI, I have been challenged and have grown in so many ways. Each day at my placement taught me something new about myself, both as a professional and as a person. I would never have pictured myself working in the biomedical field, and it has been wonderful to do work that I know has a positive impact on the world. I met so many supportive, welcoming team members, who helped me grow as a developer and inspired me to produce work that I am truly proud of. “My IBL placement at InfoCentric as a DevOps Support Analyst has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I got to witness first-hand how dynamic and agile teams function to effectively deliver outstanding results for their clients, and values that encompass high performing teams. Coming from an analytics and data science background, I was placed in a new environment and role which I was not very familiar with. Having incredibly supportive team members and supervisors made the transition to a development role smooth and has enabled me to build a broader skillset and opened more career pathways for me.
