Cybersecurity in the Quantum Age
Cybersecurity in the Quantum Age
Transitioning to Post-Quantum Cryptography — a practical short course to help you identify quantum-vulnerable systems and lead your organisation's transition to quantum-resistant security.
Prepare your organisation for the post-quantum transition.
Quantum computing is set to transform cybersecurity. As emerging quantum technologies develop, many of today’s cryptographic systems will become vulnerable, creating new risks for organisations that rely on secure digital infrastructure.
This practical short course will help you understand the impact of quantum computing on cybersecurity, what post-quantum cryptography is, why the transition matters, and how to begin preparing your organisation for quantum-resistant security.
You will learn how to identify systems and applications that may be vulnerable to quantum attacks, understand the US NIST post-quantum cryptography standards recommended for industry use, and develop a transition plan that supports your organisation’s cyber resilience.
Designed for busy professionals, the course is delivered online and self-paced, with optional live masterclasses and consultation sessions.

This course is ideal if you want to:
- Understand how quantum computing will affect current cryptographic systems.
- Identify vulnerabilities in your organisation’s digital systems and applications.
- Learn about NIST post-quantum cryptography standards and their practical use.
- Support or lead a post-quantum cryptography transition process.
- Build cyber resilience in sectors such as government, finance, health, communications, critical infrastructure, transport or commerce.
- Strengthen your cybersecurity expertise in an emerging area of global importance.
What you’ll learn
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Course structure
Time commitment
The total estimated completion time is approximately 23 hours.
Learning is primarily asynchronous and self-paced and enrolled participants can begin their learning after the intake commencement date. Optional live masterclasses and consultation sessions are available, with up to 6 hours of optional additional contact time across the course. Dates and times of the optional live sessions will be announced on the learning platform.
Assessment
Assessment is designed to help you apply course concepts to real organisational contexts.
You will complete:
- online quizzes for each module
- written and hands-on assessments:
- an organisational vulnerability risk assessment
- a hands-on application of NIST PQC standards
- a post-quantum cryptography transition plan
Digital badge
Upon successful completion of this short course, you will receive a digital badge with a link to a certificate of completion. If you complete the course assessments to a satisfactory standard, this will also be indicated in your badge and certificate.
You can share your digital badge with your professional network to demonstrate your capability in post-quantum cryptography transition planning.
