The creation of Monash University’s Faculty of Information Technology (originally the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology) in 1990 was one of the major outcomes of the merger between Monash University and Chisholm Institute of Technology.
Unifying the two, long-standing departments from both institutions were drawn together into one faculty – each bringing their own distinctive character and expertise.
