Sustainable Development Goals
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
In January 2016, the United Nations introduced 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), known as the 2030 Global Goals. The SDGs present an action plan for protecting the planet, reducing inequalities and ensuring all people enjoy peace and prosperity. They cover a diverse range of issues including gender equity, quality education, health and wellbeing, and good governance.
As the UN states, “The goals are interconnected – often the key to success on one will involve tackling issues more commonly associated with another.”
Leave No One Behind is designed to encourage participants to learn more about the SDGs and develop solutions via innovative social business ideas.
You can find the 17 SDGs and more information about the projects on the United Nations website here.
