A PhD involves extensive, independent research guided by an expert academic supervisor. You will use your research to make a positive contribution and impact in your chosen field. You can undertake your PhD as part of the Monash Doctoral Program or as part of a Joint Research Award.

We have a strong and supportive research culture, led by internationally recognised scholars successful in attracting national and international competitive funding.
Remuneration:
If successful, you will receive a generous scholarship covering tuition fees and a tax-free stipend at a current value of up to $52,352 per annum for students commencing from 2025 onwards. Additional financial support is available through research and teaching assistance work.

- A cover letter that includes a brief statement of the applicant’s suitability and a short research proposal (not exceeding 1000 words) including project aims and objectives.
