The Faculty of Education announced a partnership with the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to review and design innovative approaches in the delivery of initial teacher education. The project is a major education initiative, aiming to enhance educational quality through the reform of initial teacher education. The team of Monash experts will focus on building a methodology tailored to enhance the training of in-service teachers, ultimately aiming to improve student outcomes in UAE public schools.

Staff and students from the Faculty of Art and Design, the Faculty of Education and the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics partnered with the Sandro Demaio Foundation and Fed Square to host the 2023 Little Food Festival, aimed at educating children about sustainable and healthy food choices. The festival featured interactive activities like a Food Miles activity and a STEM Food Lab, promoting a better understanding of food systems and sustainability.

Monash University Indonesia hosted a live Zoom event titled ‘Big Data, Big Ideas’, featuring a conversation with Ainun Najib, a prominent figure in Indonesia's tech scene. The discussion, which was part of Monash Indonesia’s ‘Indonesia Talks’ Series, explored Mr Najib’s views on the future of education and the tech industry in Indonesia, as well as his work in data and AI, contributions to policy and governance.
