- Step 1: Start at SLIIT — Complete the first year of your degree program in Sri Lanka.
- Step 2: Transfer to Monash University (subject to meeting entry requirements) — Complete the remaining two years at Monash in Australia.
- Step 3: Graduate with a Monash degree.
How does it work?
Monash University and SLIIT have established credit transfer pathways across three areas of study, giving SLIIT students the opportunity to transfer to Monash University, Australia after completing one year of study at SLIIT.

Next steps
To transfer to Monash under this credit transfer pathway, students must successfully complete the first year of the relevant SLIIT program, achieve the required academic standard, complete the approved equivalent units, meet Monash English language requirements, and satisfy Australian student visa requirements.

Transfer to Monash requirements: Academic requirements
Psychology (SLIIT and SLIIT/ LJMU Program)
SLIIT students must achieve an overall average of 80% across the required first year units at SLIIT, with no more than one failed unit. Failed unit marks are included in the average percentage calculation. The GPA percentage is calculated by Monash staff based on the official academic transcript.
Biomedical Science
SLIIT students must achieve a final Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.1 on a 4 point grading scale, across all required units completed at SLIIT as specified in the agreement.
English language requirements
Students must meet Monash University's minimum English language entry requirements for the year in which they intend to commence the course.
Fees for Year 1 at SLIIT are charged at SLIIT rates. Fees for Years 2 and 3 at Monash are charged at Monash University international student rates. Students should check the latest official fee information before applying.
