Monash collaborates with Food Innovation Australia Limited to grow national food sector

Monash University has  announced a strategic partnership between Monash Food Innovation and Food Innovation Australia Limited (FIAL) to accelerate enterprise and sustainability within the national food sector.

Serving as a catalyst for equitable growth in the Australian food industry, the partnership represents a significant step forward in Monash University’s mission to drive industry-led innovation in pursuit of positive change.

The partnership was announced as part of Monash Food Innovation's highly successful 'Accelerate Australian Food Sector Growth through Innovation' event. The event brought together over 100 attendees from academia, government, food manufacturing and retail, showcasing a strong commitment to collaborative progress in the Australian food sector.

The evening was filled with thought-provoking discussions on the complex relationship between nourishment and sustainability. Panellists and participants emphasised the importance of securing the future of food in Australia, highlighting the centrality of innovative approaches to overcoming current and future challenges.

The event featured a distinguished panel of experts who shared their insights and expertise, including Mirjana Prica from FIAL, Jonathan Reichwald from the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions, Darren Gardiner from CSIRO, David H. from Haley Group, and Professor Louise Bennett from Monash University's School of Chemistry. Their contributions were invaluable in sparking meaningful conversations and inspiring new ideas.
