A 1+2 credit transfer pathway:
Three pathways are available:
Complete Year 1 of your undergraduate degree through one of the approved pathways at SLIIT. If you meet the transfer entry requirements, you can transfer to Monash University, Australia for Years 2 and 3 and graduate with a Monash degree.
Yes. On successful completion of Years 2 and 3 at Monash, you will be awarded a Monash University degree — a Bachelor of Psychology, or Bachelor of Biomedical Science.
Eligible Psychology students may apply to progress to the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Monash after completing the three-year degree. Entry is competitive — a minimum average of 75% in Years 2 and 3 is required. Entry into Honours is not guaranteed.
Eligible students may apply to progress to the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) at Monash after completing the three-year degree. Students interested in further study should contact Monash directly.
Students must achieve an overall average of 80% across required Year 1 units at SLIIT, with no more than one failed unit. Failed unit marks are included in the average percentage calculation. The GPA percentage is calculated by Monash staff based on the official academic transcript.
Students must achieve a CGPA of 3.1 (on a 4-point scale) across all required units.
Students must meet Monash University’s minimum English language entry requirements for the year in which they intend to commence the course.

Yes. Students must satisfy Australian student visa eligibility requirements before transferring to Monash.
Monash offers a range of support services for international students including academic support, student wellbeing services, and dedicated support through the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.
Students can access official Monash information on accommodation, student support, and life in Melbourne through the relevant Monash webpages linked.
Psychology graduates may work as research assistants, human resources coordinators, recruitment officers, community services workers, mental health support workers, case managers, or counsellors. With additional postgraduate study, graduates can pursue registration as a psychologist, specialising in clinical, forensic, educational, or organisational psychology. Biomedical Science graduates may work as research officers, laboratory scientists, medical science liaisons, pharmaceutical or medical device sales representatives, or in health promotion and policy roles. The degree also provides a strong pathway into graduate-entry medicine at Monash, with at least 70% of places reserved for Monash Biomedical Science graduates.
