The Staff Wellbeing and Activity Program (SWAP) provides opportunities for staff to participate in a range of wellbeing activities. Physical activity programs can be held locally within departments or at Monash Sport. The aim of these programs is to help improve staff wellbeing, productivity and morale through low-cost programs targeted at all ages and fitness levels. SWAP mindfulness programs along with nutrition and health and information sessions can also be arranged on request.

Physical Health
The SWAP physical activity program is offered in partnership with Monash Sport. These programs aim to help improve staff wellbeing, productivity and morale through low-cost programs targeted at all ages and fitness levels.
SWAP FlexStaff can now purchase a pass to access Group Fitness classes, Fitness Centres or Aquatics through Monash Sport.

Mental Health
The SWAP mental health program has been developed in partnership with Monash Counselling, Centre of Consciousness and Contemplatives Studies (M3CS) and Benestar.
Monash believes in the importance of encouraging friends, workmates and family to seek help when they need it, without fear or stigma. To assist staff and their family members improve their mental health, Monash provides a range of programs.

Nutrition
The SWAP nutritional health program has been developed to support staff in their health and wellbeing both in the workplace and at home.
Many employees consume at least half of their daily meals and snacks during work hours, making the workplace an ideal environment to support healthy eating behaviours. Monash provides a range of healthy food, drinks and catering available at work to assist employees in improving their eating habits.
Nutrition campaigns availableTry for 5: An annual campaign powered by Nutrition Australia encouraging Australians to increase their vegetable consumption through activities to help you enjoy delicious, nutritious vegetables in fun ways.
Planetary Health: Planetary health is defined as the health of human civilisations and the state of the natural systems on which it depends, and it encourages people to consider planetary health in their day to day lives. Smart Eating Week: A campaign designed by Dietitians Australia to empower Australians to make healthier food choices and promote better health and wellbeing. There are a range of activities offered to support staff in enjoying smarter and more delicious, nutritious everyday meals. |

Want to speak to an Accredited Practicing Dietitian?
Nutrition and dietetic consultations on a range of nutrition issues are available at the University Health Services and the Monash Nutrition Clinic at BASE.
Consultations are delivered by an Accredited Practicing Dietitian, all staff and students are welcome.
Note: This is used as a teaching clinic for students enrolled in the Masters of Dietetics course. All consultations are conducted by a qualified dietitian; students are able to observe and occasionally participate
