Once you’ve checked your course requirements from the year you started your course, use the current year’s Handbook to find units to enrol in.
The units you choose influences the selection of majors available to you in later years.

During your science course, you might like to take part in a scientific research project, complete an Internship unit, study overseas or complete a summer or winter semester unit.
A science unit is a unit listed under any major, extended major or minor offered in the Bachelor of Science, or from the list of level 1 mathematics and statistics units (SCI1022, SCI1020, STA1010, MTH1020, MTH1030, MTH1035), or from the list below:

- MTH1010 Functions and their applications
- SCI1200 Humans, evolution and modern society
- SCI2030 Indigenous science: Science through the eyes of Australia’s first peoples (limited places are available)
- SCI2400 Creative methods at the intersections of science and art (Prato unit offered in summer semester and requires application process)
- SCI3920 Science internship (requires application process)
- SCI3925 - Science internship (Extended) (requires application process)

- SCI3990 Science in action research project
- MTE4235 Nuclear energy: Science, technology and society
