Engineering Summer School welcomes TNE students to Monash
Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 65 prospective Civil and Materials students and accompanying staff from five of our Transnational Education partner institutions, including Central South University, Wuhan University of Technology, Hunan University, Guangdong University of Technology and Dalian University of Technology, for the Monash Engineering Summer School.

This one-week immersive program was designed to showcase Monash Engineering, giving students a firsthand experience of our world-class teaching, cutting-edge research, and vibrant campus life.
Highlights of the program included:
- Interactive classes and hands-on workshops including Spaghetti Bridge competition, 3D printing activity and lawnmower Practice to deepen their understanding of Civil and Materials Engineering,
- Lab sessions and visits to our advanced research facilities, providing a glimpse into real-world engineering innovation,
- Participation in our Open Day, where students explored the broader opportunities and support provided at Monash,
- A welcome dinner to foster connections and create lasting memories.
- Networking session with our current TNE students to learn about our campus and life in Melbourne
This initiative reflects Monash’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of engineers and strengthening our partnerships through Transnational Education Programs. We hope this program will inspire these students to further their studies with us and open doors for us to future collaborations.
