Discover the four categories of our Alumni Awards, celebrating the diverse achievements of our alumni across various fields and industries

Monash Engineering Alumni Awards celebrate the achievements of our global network of engineering alumni, recognising their contributions to industry, research, and society.

Each year, we honour graduates who have demonstrated excellence in engineering, innovation, and leadership, making a lasting impact in their fields. The awards will be presented at a special ceremony in October, bringing together alumni, industry leaders, and the faculty community to celebrate their success.

Engineering Early-Career Excellence Award Recognises outstanding alumni who have demonstrated exceptional achievements, leadership, and impact within the early stages of their engineering careers. This award celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to their profession, industry, or community through innovation, research, entrepreneurship, or advocacy.
Women in Engineering Award Recognises outstanding women alumni who have made significant contributions to the engineering profession, their industry, or society. This award celebrates the achievements of women in engineering who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and a commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in the field.
Engineering Impact Award Recognises alumni who have made outstanding contributions to the engineering profession, industry, or society. This award celebrates individuals who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and a lasting impact through their work, research, or community engagement.

Engineering Lifetime Achievement Award

 Honours alumni who have made extraordinary and sustained contributions to the engineering profession over the course of their career. This prestigious award recognises individuals whose work has had a lasting impact on the industry, research, innovation, or society.

Procedure for nominations

Monash Engineering’s Alumni Engagement Team will manage the call for nominations process, including receiving all nominations, arranging meetings of the Selection Committee to consider nominations and providing recommendations from the Selection Committee to the Dean.

Meet our distinguished alumni awards recipients

Claire Ferres Miles

Claire gained a Master of Transport in 2010 and Master of Traffic 2011 from the Department of Civil Engineering. Claire Ferres Miles is a values-driven optimistic leader with curiosity for reform and lifelong learning.

Dr Ivanovich has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering with First Class Honours, a Master of Computing and a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technology from Monash University.
