Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Everyone who work within a Laboratory must wear a 100% cotton lab coat and safety glasses, please ensure that these, along with enclosed shoes are worn at all times in the labs that require them. (MSE has very few labs that do not require PPE).

Also when working in a Lab, arms up to the wrists and legs to below the ankles must be covered. Please note tights or stockings are not classed as suitable.

The use of personal headphones and earphones within a lab is not permitted, there are numerous signs throughout MSE labs stating this. Unless it is stated in your risk assessment to use ear muffs to protect your hearing.
