The ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hub for Infrastructure NetZero Hub has released its 2025 Annual Report, marking a landmark first year of momentum across research, industry partnerships and capability development.
The ARC NetZero Hub is directed by Professor Wenhui Duan and is supported by $5M in Australian Research Council (ARC) funding, alongside $6.2M in university and industry partner cash contributions and $8.7M in-kind support.
His team are advancing methods to transform concrete from a major emitter into a material capable of large‑scale CO₂ uptake, contributing to global climate‑mitigation efforts.
The Report captures advances in integrating AI, digitalisation and robotics across the infrastructure lifecycle; progress across 19 project agreements and 21 industry partnerships; and the transformative experiences of HDR students and early career researchers who gained hands‑on expertise to drive Australia’s low‑carbon transition.
The NetZero team thanks chief investigators, partners and collaborators whose contributions have positioned the Hub as a leader in resilient, digitalised and sustainable infrastructure.
