Samantha Harrison

Transport Engineer at WSP | Parsons Brinkerhoff - Samantha completed a Bachelor of Engineering and Arts at Monash University in 2012. During her time at Monash Samantha focused on traffic and transport subjects with her Final Year Project (under Professor Graham Currie) focusing on different types of tram stops in Melbourne. Samantha was lucky to spend a semester of her engineering degree studying abroad at the Denmark Technical University in Copenhagen. The subjects she studied at DTU provided her with credits towards her Engineering degree at Monash University.
After graduating, Samantha commenced work as a Civil Engineer with global engineering professional services consulting firm WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff. In her role, Samantha has contributed to the civil infrastructure team designing roads and highways.Samantha is currently working on the $1.6b Level Crossing Removal Project - Caulfield to Dandenong. This project will remove nine level crossings and rebuild five stations on the Dandenong Line. 'It is great to use my skills in a city-shaping transport infrastructure project.' Samantha said.In 2013 Samantha commenced her Masters of Infrastructure Engineering and Management at Monash University.
She intends to use the further knowledge she gains to support the planning and design of future infrastructure projects across Australia and overseas.
