Originally from South London, Leah completed her BSc (Hons) in Geography and MSc in Geographic Information Systems and Environmental Management at the University of Brighton. In 2022, she moved to Melbourne to undertake a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Monash University, where her research focused on environmental faecal contamination in informal settlements. During this time, she worked alongside the Revitalising Informal Settlements and their Environments (RISE) Program.

Leah is now an education-focused Assistant Lecturer, teaching in ENG1011 (Engineering Methods) and CIV4212 (Civil and Environmental Engineering Practice). She has previously taught as a sessional academic in ENG1021 (Spatial Communication in Engineering). Leah is passionate about delivering high-quality, student-centred education and supporting students to build confidence and apply their knowledge in real-world contexts.

As a Respect Advisor and a member of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Leah is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, her door is always open for a chat.
