A new Dean’s Advisory Council has been established to support the Monash Engineering faculty to achieve our ambitious goals and strategic plan. The Advisory Council will share their perspective and understanding of how we can meet the needs of society through our academic endeavours and help us to enhance our research, our teaching and engagement.
“I’m delighted to announce that Collette Burke, Chief Engineer for Victoria, has agreed to co-chair the Dean’s Advisory Council (DAC)”, said Elizabeth Croft, Dean of Engineering at Monash University. “The council will provide us with guidance and advice on our initiatives, and advocate for us within the business community and the society at large. It is a privilege to work with such highly accomplished individuals who share in our commitment to advance Monash Engineering to its greatest potential.”
Our Advisory Council members encompass strong backgrounds from academia and industry, including several of our accomplished alumni. Lending independent strategic guidance and experience, the council members will strengthen our ability to support research, education and innovation in engineering.
The council met with representatives of the faculty’s executive for the first time on 6 December, with our new strategic plan, the focus of the inaugural meeting.
