Monash Engineering rises in global and national rankings
Monash Engineering has jumped 11 places to #44 globally and #1 nationally in the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 by subject.
The results reflect marked improvements across key indicators including our teaching (the learning environment), research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); international outlook (staff, students and research); and industry income (knowledge transfer).
The subject results follow Monash University’s recent historic rise to 44th globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023.
Interim Dean of Engineering Professor Chris Davies said that the subject ranking result was a reflection of the world-class talent of the faculty’s academic and professional staff and their commitment and dedication, particularly through the challenging pandemic period. “This ranking demonstrates our excellent capability to educate the engineers of the future, provide the talent that industry demands, and deliver outstanding research that addresses global challenges and industry needs,” he said. “Congratulations to all of our staff on this fantastic result.”
