IntelGrid secures $4.6m to accelerate smarter, greener energy grids

The IntelGrid project - led by Professor Mahdi Jalili of RMIT University and Associate Professor Reza Razzaghi of Monash Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering has been awarded $4.6m from the Australia's Economic Accelerator (AEA) Innovate program to scale up and commercialise its next-generation grid intelligence platform.
Bringing together advanced power system modelling and AI, IntelGrid will help electricity networks manage the increasing complexities of renewables, electric vehicles, and customer energy resources (CERs) to deliver smarter, more resilient and more flexible grids.
This is a significant step in turning research into real-world impact as Australia accelerates towards a more electrified, decarbonised future.
